10/31/11: BEWITCHING HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE

In this challenge, participants were to create what they would wear if they were a witch going for their Halloween night broom ride! They had to use the colors orange and black in their design, and include a broomstick (either FM-made or from the DUC store).
We had SO many amazing entries in this challenge that tied with each other, so I decided to give two spots each for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

ABOUT KAIDEN: He's a 10 pound Coton de Tulear, one of the nearly shed-less breeds of dogs."Coton" means "cotton," referencing the cotton feel and look of the hair. Kaiden is a real sweetie...very quiet, playful, cuddly and smart. He loves to do tricks, eat, run around the coffee table, play tug and fetch, and most of all, lick feet (especially his mama's!). It's kinda like having a foot masseuse!

Though neither participant got Kaiden's current size quite right (he's about the size of the dog used in my example makeover), everything else about their renditions of him are PERFECT! From the facial expressions, to the whispy white hair, and floppy ears with a bit of champagne coloring, they each captured Kaiden's pure adorableness to a T. Both outfits are amazing (check out the hot shoes on both winning entries, and the fabulous details on each dress) and are complemented by the perfect accessories. Can you blame me for not being able to choose between the two? These diva designers have pure skill!

Divas, this challenge brought in nearly 70 entries, all unique and amazing in their own way. It was SO hard to pick that I made a top 10, but it really could have been a top 30 or more. Great job everyone! Here are pictures of the top 10, and below you'll find a little commentary on each one along with links to the makeovers:
1- Grandma Wears Prada: From the gorgeous dress, fantastic hair, amazing headpiece and fitting background, this entry is a winner!
2-iluvyoutoo: The dress is simply beautiful, and she made all her own accessories, including the fantastic dangling earrings.
3-rubsgal: The hat is to die for, and the detail on the top is superb.
4-lipgloss1126: The dress is pure elegance, and the necklace and bouquet are top notch.
5-bonusmor: The pink flowers on this pretty dress were created freestyle, and the accessories match perfectly, even down to the FM-created toenails.
